Limited Lifetime Warranty
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS SUBJECT TO ALL LIMITATIONS, EXCLUSIONS, DISCLAIMER, APPROVAL AND PROCEDURES.
As a direct manufacturer, GFD Cabinet is confident in the quality of the cabinetry we sell. We proudly stand behind our products and offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Warranty claims submitted during the first year from the date of purchase will receive priority processing.
Warranty claims submitted during the second year and beyond are subject to a processing lead time of approximately six (6) to twelve (12) weeks. To initiate a warranty claim, proof of purchase and a completed Warranty Claim Form are required. Customers must provide a detailed description of the issue along with supporting photographs of the defect or damage.
For warranty assistance, please contact GFD Cabinet at (858) 597-0025 and submit the completed claim form and supporting documentation to your sales representative. Upon review, GFD Cabinet will determine whether the product qualifies for repair or replacement. Customers must not proceed with any corrective action without prior written authorization from GFD Cabinet. If a claim is approved, GFD Cabinet will cover applicable shipping and handling costs. Return of the defective product, at the customer’s expense, is required before a replacement is issued.
One-Year Limited Warranty Coverage
For a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date, GFD Cabinet warrants to the original purchaser that cabinetry, door hinges, and drawer glides will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. First-year claims will be processed as promptly as possible.
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to products installed in single-family, owner-occupied residential properties. It does not cover normal wear and tear, damage resulting from accidents, misuse or abuse, improper handling, improper installation, improper storage, product modification or customization, or exposure to extreme temperature or moisture conditions.
Lifetime Warranty Coverage
Beginning in the second year after purchase, this warranty is extended to a Limited Lifetime Warranty. All warranty procedures and requirements remain in effect. Proof of purchase is required, and claims are subject to a six (6) to twelve (12) week processing period.
Under this warranty, GFD Cabinet warrants to the original purchaser that cabinetry, door hinges, and drawer glides will remain free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. Coverage applies only to products that remain available in GFD Cabinet’s inventory and have not been discontinued.
Natural Wood Characteristics
Natural wood products inherently vary in color, grain pattern, and texture. No two pieces of wood are identical, and these variations contribute to the natural beauty of the material and are not considered defects. Environmental factors such as natural or artificial light, humidity, moisture, cleaning agents, and smoke may cause gradual darkening or mellowing of the finish over time. These natural aging characteristics are expected and are not covered under this warranty.
Wood Movement and Warping
Wood naturally expands and contracts in response to changes in temperature and humidity. As a result, warping of less than one-quarter inch (1/4”) is considered normal and not a defect. Doors warped one-quarter inch (1/4”) or more must remain installed for two seasonal cycles before a replacement request will be considered. In most cases, doors will return to a flat position once properly acclimated. Prior to submitting a replacement request, customers must ensure that doors have been correctly installed and that hinges are properly adjusted.
Finish Variations
Because wood is a natural material, stain variations in color, grain, and texture are to be expected. Differences may occur between samples, newly manufactured cabinets, and aged cabinets due to exposure to light and environmental conditions. Newly produced cabinets will not exactly match older samples or previously installed cabinetry. These variations and finish changes are not covered by this warranty.
Some cabinet lines feature hand-applied glazed finishes designed to enhance door and drawer profiles. Due to the hand application process, variations in color, appearance, drips, or runs may occur from cabinet to cabinet. These characteristics are normal and are not considered defects. Painted cabinet surfaces may also exhibit hairline fractures at joints over time; this is a normal occurrence and not a warrantable condition.
Repair or Replacement
At its sole discretion, GFD Cabinet may elect to repair or replace a defective cabinet with a functionally equivalent product. Replacement parts are subject to availability and may differ from the original components. Return of the defective product is required prior to issuance of a replacement.
This warranty does not cover costs associated with installation, removal, adjustments, labor, transportation, or any consequential or subsequent damages, regardless of whether installation or service was performed by a contractor, service provider, or the purchaser. To obtain warranty service, customers must contact the original place of purchase and submit a copy of the original dated sales receipt with all claims
Additional Terms
This warranty is non-transferable. GFD Cabinet reserves the right to inspect any claimed defective product. No returns, repairs, or replacements will be authorized without prior written approval or assessment by an authorized GFD Cabinet representative.
